<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>SMH IR Rad Tech - SMH</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 5x8 hour day shifts with on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed<br>• 6-month contract positions will be considered<br>• On-call requirements: 5-7 call shifts per 7-week time block (2-4 of these will be weekend call)<br>• Work in Interventional Radiology department<br>• Select exposure factors, position patients, and produce diagnostic quality radiologic images<br>• Instruct and prepare patients for examinations and assist radiologist during procedures<br>• Operate all department equipment and report malfunctions to management<br>• Complete assigned procedures in timely manner and assist with room turnover<br>• Maintain medication security to authorized personnel only<br>• Provide healthcare services to all age groups<br>• Use Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS<br>• Answer technical telephone inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel<br>• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities when warranted<br>• Required: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY), 2 years experience, NYS License (or able to obtain prior to start), ARRT<br>• Preferred: VIR Certified<br>• Must demonstrate competency in interpersonal relationships with all age groups</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center operates a comprehensive Interventional Radiology department providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
