Vascular Sonography Ultrasound Tech Job in Hilo, HI

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an Allied Health Professional Ultrasound Technician specializing in vascular sonography for a 91-day travel assignment at Hilo Medical Center in Hilo, Hawaii. This is a full-time position with rotating shifts and on-call responsibilities as appropriate.

Position Details:

• 40-hour shift work with rotating schedule
• Weekly pay: $2,396
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: October 26, 2026
• Floating to other departments as needed
• Personal scrubs and healthcare professional attire required
• No time off requests granted during first 13 weeks of contract

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years acute hospital experience
• Minimum 3 years full-time sonographer experience
• One or more prior travel contract experiences
• ARDMS certification (AB, OB, RVT)
• Active AHA-certified BLS

Required Clinical Competencies:

• Abdominal ultrasound: aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal studies
• GYN ultrasound: breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, and pelvis in multiple presentations
• OB ultrasound: first, second, and third trimester studies, amniocentesis, biophysical profile, gestational age, and placental grading
• Ultrasound-guided procedures: aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative
• Neonatal ultrasound: congenital anomalies and neonatal head
• Superficial structures: abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematoma, scrotum/testes, and thyroid
• Vascular ultrasound: carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex

Equipment and Systems:

You will work with Canon i700 ultrasound systems, Meditech EMR, and Fuji Synapse PACS.
