Electrophysiology Technician Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint — Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking an Electrophysiology Technician for a temporary travel position in Des Moines, IA. This role offers you the opportunity to work in a dynamic cardiac care environment while supporting critical electrophysiology procedures.

Position Details:

• Shift: 4x10 rotating schedule (16-hour shifts)
• Duration: 91 days, starting July 13, 2026
• Weekly pay: $3,168
• Hours: 36–40 or 48 hours per week depending on assignment; overtime billable after 40 or 48 hours respectively

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support during electrophysiology procedures and cardiac catheterization
• Maintain EPIC EMR system documentation and patient records
• Float across all Des Moines campuses to like units as needed
• On-call responsibilities: 1 night per week and every 3rd weekend
• Weekend call schedule required
• Required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed

Required Qualifications:

• Allied Health Professional degree
• 24 months minimum current electrophysiology or cardiac catheterization experience
• RCIS or RCES certification
• Valid driver's license
• Electrophysiology and cardiac catheterization skills checklist completion

Preferred Qualifications:

• Travel healthcare experience
• Cardiac catheterization lab experience
