RN - Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 4x10-hour shifts, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, plus call responsibilities
• Up to 26 weeks available by request
• Charting system: Epic required
• On-call requirement: 7 on-call shifts and 5 late shifts within every 6-week period; one full weekend of call (Friday through Sunday) must be scheduled together, with remaining weekday call shifts (Monday through Thursday) taken individually throughout the cycle; one Saturday shift for elective cases also required each 6-week period
• Must be able to return to the hospital within 30 minutes when called
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Must be available to work or take call for one holiday per 13-week contract in rotation with staff
• First-time travelers not accepted
• Local candidates not accepted
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCI RCIS
• Epic charting experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Skilled in cardiac cath lab procedures including LHC, RHC, PCI, PTCA, stent placement, atherectomy, temporary pacer, Impella, IABP, TAVR, Watchman, and Mitraclip
• Scrub experience required
• Proficient in sterile technique, EKG lead placement, dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation, hemodynamic monitoring, and rapid response protocols
• Experienced in diagnostic and interventional cath lab settings using fluoroscopy
• Knowledge of isolation precautions, equipment handling, and supply management
• Serves adult patients across 6 procedure rooms with a daily census of 15 to 20 patients
• Common diagnoses include coronary artery disease, valve disorders, heart failure, and atrial septal defect/patent foramen ovale closures
• Advanced procedures include TAVR, left atrial appendage closures, Cardiomems, thrombectomy, mitral clips, renal denervation, and research protocols
• Equipment includes IABP, Impella, Penumbra, Rotapro, CSI, Shockwave, laser, OCT, and IVUS
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
• Self-scheduling model
