Telemetry RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking an RN for a 91-day travel assignment on the Neuro Telemetry unit. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM), with 4 weekend shifts required per 8 weeks. Start date is July 6, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,229.12.

Role and Responsibilities

• Care for patients on a 32-bed Neuro Tele unit with a 1:4 patient ratio
• Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Insulin
• Interpret EKGs and monitor central telemetry
• Float to tele units and tele overflow in ICU as needed
• Perform bedside reporting
• Use Cerner charting system with Workstations on Wheels (WOWs)

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Level 1 Trauma experience required
• Neuro experience highly preferred
• Pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Pass Day 1 SIMs Lab covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
• Maintain sterile field competency
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Reside outside a 50-mile radius (driver's license used as proof)
• Own vehicle required for travel

Unit Details

The Neuro Tele unit is fast-paced with an average length of stay of 4–5 days. Common diagnoses include CVA, TBI, spinal surgery, encephalopathy, ESRD, trached patients, psychiatric issues, and brain tumors. Holidays are worked into a permanent rotation based on unit coverage. The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments.
