ICU Registered Nurse Job in Gardner, MA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting June 22, 2026, with a 3x12 day shift schedule (7:00 am – 7:30 pm). You'll be scheduled Monday through Sunday, including every third weekend and holiday. Weekly pay is $2,102.40.

Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions and care plans for critically ill patients
• Administering medications and intravenous therapy according to physician orders
• Monitoring and documenting pain assessment using numerical pain scales
• Identifying and interpreting cardiac arrhythmias and EKG changes
• Managing thrombolytic and anticoagulation therapy protocols
• Demonstrating proficiency with mechanical ventilation modes, settings, and patient care
• Providing care for intubated patients, including suctioning, troubleshooting, and weaning
• Interpreting arterial blood gases, pulse oximetry, and clinical features of impaired gas exchange
• Assisting with hemodynamic monitoring procedures and arterial and central line cannulation
• Safely administering vasoactive medications with understanding of dosage and titration parameters
• Providing post-operative monitoring and assessment per established protocols
• Implementing VAP bundle components consistently
• Participating in daily multi-disciplinary rounds for patient care coordination
• Completing thorough and timely documentation of all interventions and patient responses

Requirements:

• Current Massachusetts RN license
• ACLS certification upon hire or BLS with ACLS within 60 days
• Minimum 1 year med-surg experience preferred
• Previous telemetry experience required
• ICU experience preferred
• CCRN certification preferred
