About this role
Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking an experienced OR RN for a 96-day travel assignment. You will work day shifts from 6:30 AM or 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM or 4:30 PM on a 4x9 schedule, earning $2,265.12 weekly.
Role Overview
As an OR circulator, you will support multiple surgical service lines across both SSMH and GGH facilities. You will provide direct patient care, perform pre-operative and post-operative assessments, develop care plans, and educate patients and families. A 3-day orientation period is provided to help you transition into the facility's workflows and protocols.
Clinical Responsibilities
You will circulate cases in the following specialties:
- Orthopedics: total joint replacements, trauma, sports medicine, arthroscopies, and upper extremity procedures
- General Surgery: laparoscopic and open procedures
- Urology: procedures including lithotripsy and laser use
- ENT: pediatric cases, PE tube placement, tonsillectomies, septoplasties, and functional endoscopic sinus surgery with and without navigation
- GI: colonoscopies, esophagogastroduodenoscopies, and dilatation procedures
- Spine: anterior cervical discectomy and fusion, lumbar fusions, discectomies, kyphoplasties, and posterior cervical fusions
- Ophthalmology: cataract procedures using microscope and phacoemulsification equipment
- Podiatry: open and endoscopic procedures similar to sports medicine
You will care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients and may serve as the sole OR RN on site during on-call periods.
Requirements
- Current New York State RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience as a circulator
- BLS, ACLS, PALS (all through AHA/RQI)
- STROKE and NIHSS certifications
- On-call experience preferred
