<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Med Surg Tele</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM<br>• Every other weekend required<br>• Patient ratio of 1:5 to 1:7 for Med Surg patients<br>• Must have 1 year of nursing experience<br>• New York license required in hand - no exceptions<br>• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility<br>• EPIC charting experience required<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)<br>• Floating to other units required<br>• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white<br>• Care for acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders as well as acute medical patients<br>• Responsibilities include cardiac monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV therapy, phlebotomy, respiratory care including nasal cannula and oxygen administration<br>• Must be proficient in blood product administration, wound care, isolation precautions, and use of rapid response/code teams<br>• Pre-start modules required (up to 5 billable hours)<br>• First-time travelers accepted</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This tertiary care hospital operates 528 staffed beds and features a specialized 39-bed Acute Stroke Unit that combines neurological and medical care. The facility utilizes an adjustable acuity delivery model to provide evidence-based care for stroke patients during primary prevention and acute care phases.
