Job Details:

• Participate in the assessment, administration, and evaluation of respiratory therapy treatments
• Perform pulmonary function testing, extubations, airway management, and ventilatory life support
• Provide care to critical adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to obtain, interpret, and evaluate pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gases
• Manage airway care and administer respiratory treatments
• Provide patient instruction on the use of respiratory therapy equipment, inhalation gases, and related therapies
• Responsible for cleaning, care, and maintenance of all respiratory therapy and pulmonary function testing equipment
• Must be skilled in the use of mechanical ventilators and able to offer alternative solutions
• Must be able to accurately interpret arterial blood gases
• Must be able to work independently and unsupervised
• Must be able to work under adverse conditions including communicable and infectious diseases
• Minimum two years of experience as a certified Respiratory Therapist required
• High school diploma or GED required
• Credentialed by the NBRC as a Certified Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
