Oncology RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an RN for an 89-day travel assignment in pediatric oncology at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, providing direct patient care in a specialized oncology setting.

Your Role:

• Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Note all changes in physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians in patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures and treatments
• Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary
• Administer medications as prescribed
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver competent patient care across a variety of health conditions ranging from simple to complex
• Interact with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge
• Inform patients and families of hospital procedures
• Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Qualifications:

• Active RN license required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Minimum 6 months of level I trauma experience
• Current PALS, BLS, and APHON certifications
