Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology

Job Details:

• Work 5x8 day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• 2 years minimum experience required with 1 year hospital-based experience preferred
• First-time travelers accepted but must have 2 years of field experience
• Required certifications: ARRT N OR NMTCB (CNMT) and BLS
• Must have DC license in hand at time of submission
• Equipment experience required: GE, Hitachi, Phillips, Siemens, Toshiba
• Procedure skills required: HIDA Scan, Bone Scan, Lung Scan, Thyroid Studies
• Must be able to start and maintain peripheral IVs
• Knowledge required in isolation precautions and storing/handling/disposal of radioactive materials
• Must have basic knowledge of nuclear medicine theory and techniques
• Radiation safety practices knowledge required
• Good knowledge of specialized and complex Molecular Imaging procedures needed
• Ability to work under stressful and emergent situations
• Effective communication skills required
• Charting system: Cerner
• No RTO permitted during first two weeks of assignment
• Maximum 7 days RTO per 13-week contract
