PICU RN Job in Reno, NV

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) on a night shift schedule. This 91-day travel assignment begins November 29, 2026, and offers stability with guaranteed hours and clear expectations.

Position Details

• Specialty: PICU – Pediatric Intensive Care
• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts (36 guaranteed hours per week)
• Shift length: 12 hours, nights
• No on-call requirements
• Assignment duration: 91 days

Your Responsibilities

• Provide optimal patient care using the nursing process for pediatric intensive care patients
• Deliver comprehensive nursing services including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• May float to other departments up to competency level as needed
• May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts

Requirements

• Current Nevada RN license (required prior to start)
• Minimum 2 years of PEDS/PICU experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• AHA BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• PALS certification
