About this role
Confluence Health Hospital-Central Campus is seeking a Surgical Technician to join the Cardiothoracic Vascular Operating Room (CVOR) team in Wenatchee, WA. This is a 92-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026.
Position Details
- Work 3 shifts per week, 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- On-call availability required, with a minimum of 14 days of call in a 6-week schedule
- Weekly pay: $2,205
Your Role
You will function as a vital member of the OR team in the scrub position during surgical interventions. Your responsibilities include preparing the surgical field according to surgeon preference cards, maintaining proficiency across a variety of cardiothoracic procedures, and demonstrating expert knowledge of surgical equipment and instrumentation.
You will assist team members by setting up and maintaining the sterile field, demonstrating proper use of instruments, suture, and stapling devices, and following correct and safe technique in all equipment handling. Additional duties include obtaining, returning, cleaning, and disposing of equipment according to established procedures; accurately performing sponge, needle, and instrument counts at appropriate times; and properly identifying and saving all specimens according to department policy.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Surgical Technology
- Current Washington State Surgical Technologist license
- National Certification by the Association of Surgical Technologists
- CVOR experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

You will maintain a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practices according to AORN Standards. You must demonstrate the ability to handle emergency situations, recognize faulty equipment and unsafe conditions, and report concerns promptly. Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within a fast-paced surgical environment are essential.
