Mammography Technologist Job in Sacramento, CA

You will work as a Mammography Technologist at Sutter Health Imaging South in Sacramento, CA. This is a full-time outpatient position on a 5x8 day shift schedule, working 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday for a 91-day assignment beginning June 29, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Perform screening mammograms and diagnostic imaging procedures
• Operate Hologic 3D equipment for 3-D and digital mammography
• Provide X-ray technologist coverage during lunch breaks
• Conduct digital quality assurance procedures
• Maintain radiation safety protocols and document all procedures in the Epic charting system
• Work with adult patients in a single-room imaging facility
• Follow isolation precautions, PPE protocols, universal precautions, and core measures

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential (Mammography Technologist)
• Current ARRT M (Mammography) certification
• Current ARRT R (Radiography) certification
• Current BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of mammography experience
• Valid state license with Nursys verification completed within the last 2 weeks
• 7-year work history verification
• Two professional references obtained within the last year
• Willingness to travel up to 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system
• Proficiency in 3-D mammography and digital mammography techniques

Additional Requirements

• Must be available for required laboratory work within 3–5 days of employment start
• Orientation includes completion of e-learning modules (1–5 hours average, self-paced)

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay: $3,064.03. Duration: 91 days.
