PT - Outpatient

Job Details:

• Perform physical therapy procedures and related tasks as delegated by supervising physical therapist
• Provide selected interventions as described in patient's plan of care
• Utilize clinical problem solving skills to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Demonstrate effective communication and strong interpersonal skills to motivate patients
• Carry out treatment as directed by supervising physical therapist
• Provide variety of treatment approaches using manual techniques and available equipment/modalities
• Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation procedures
• Maintain patient records ensuring compliance with third party payer requirements
• Function independently within scope of PTA Practice Act
• Provide individualized patient and caregiver education
• Modify treatment in response to patient progress and keep PT informed of changes
• No weekends required
• No on-call responsibilities
• 2+ years of PTA experience required
• Strong background in Total Knee Replacement required
• Total Hip Replacement experience preferred
• Experience in busy outpatient clinic preferable
• Must reside outside 50-mile radius of facility
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapist Assistant License required
• Skills checklist current within 1 year required
• 2 supervisory reference forms with employment dates required
