<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Histology Tech - Lab</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work day shift schedule: 0500-1330 or 0930-1800<br>• 13-week assignment with 36 hours per week guaranteed<br>• 2 years of hospital setting experience required<br>• HTL certification from ASCP required (not just HT certification)<br>• Must be certified Histology Technician (HTL) with QIHC Immunohistochemistry stains experience<br>• Experience in troubleshooting of programs and protocols required<br>• Must be flexible and able to work independently<br>• Dress code: Charcoal grey scrubs or business casual underneath lab coat (lab coats provided)<br>• Required skills include embedding, microtomy, IHC experience, special stains, and managing/troubleshooting staining instrumentation<br>• Typical procedures: logging incoming tissues, embedding tissues, cutting tissue for staining, placing slides on staining equipment, filing slides and cassettes<br>• Equipment used: Roche Benchmark Ultra IHC stainers, Roche Special Stainer, Sakura tissue processors, Thermo Fisher Embedding system, Thermo Fisher slide labelers, Sakura H&E Stainer/Coverslipper, Leica Microtomes<br>• Must have independent personality with ability to multitask and maintain professional demeanor<br>• No floating to other areas required</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This regional medical center features a comprehensive laboratory department with advanced histology services.
