Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job in Wilmington, NC

You'll work as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning May 20, 2026, with compensation of $2,188.80 weekly.

Schedule and Requirements

• Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (blocked shifts)
• Rotating night call obligations
• Every third weekend schedule required
• Patient ratio: 1:4
• 40 hours of unit orientation
• Fatigue policy: no more than 5 consecutive days or 60 hours per week

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of clinical experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required—first-time travelers not accepted
• ARRT N and CNMT certifications
• Proficiency with EPIC and Pyxis systems
• Competency in venous blood draw, IV initiation and maintenance, isolation precautions/PPE, and radioactive material handling and disposal

Clinical Responsibilities

You will perform nuclear medicine procedures on adult and pediatric patients in clinic and hospital settings using Siemens equipment. Procedures include gastric emptying, HIDA scans, MUGA scans, bone scans, brain scans, liver/spleen scans, lung scans, renal flow studies, shunt studies, thyroid studies, and tumor localization. You'll conduct SPECT imaging for bone, brain, liver, renal, and sestamibi parathyroid scans, and perform myocardial studies including adenosine infusion, exercise/rest protocols, and pharmacological stress testing.
