Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend coverage required
• Patient ratio of 1:4 on nights, 1:3 on days and weekends
• Must be able to handle 1:5 to 1:7 patient ratio for MedSurg when floating
• Float to ICU or MS units as needed
• 24 hours of orientation provided
• Must have 1 year of nursing experience
• New York license required in hand - no exceptions
• Must live more than 75 miles from facility
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS (must include current NIHSS cert in submission)
• Scrub color: Any combination of navy and white
• Care for adult and geriatric patients requiring specialized monitoring
• Provide cardiac monitoring and emergency response including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Manage IV therapy, phlebotomy, and peripheral line care
• Handle respiratory care including nasal cannula, oxygen masks, and non-invasive airway management
• Work with continuous pulse-oximetry and telemetry monitoring
• Care for patients with arterial lines, central lines, and those requiring titrated IV infusions
• Manage patients needing airway management and acute BIPAP support
• 24 hours orientation with up to 5 billable hours for modules completed pre-start
