Phlebotomist - Phlebotomist

Job Details:

• Work day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• One year of related phlebotomy experience strongly preferred
• Basic understanding of medical laboratory technology desired
• Excellent customer service skills required
• Good manual dexterity required
• Ability to satisfactorily and efficiently complete daily blood draws required
• Must maintain patient confidentiality
• Perform venipuncture and microsampling blood collection for adults and children
• Perform nursing home draws, bleeding times, sweat chlorides, and glucose tolerance tests
• Keep work area clean and adequately stocked; order supplies as necessary
• Greet patients and enter patient demographics and test requests into Laboratory Information System
• Answer telephone requests from physician offices and provide patient results to appropriate healthcare providers
• Deliver and process patient specimens for analysis as required
