<p><strong>Allied Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>Sterile Processing Tech - Sterile Processing Tech</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work evening shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed<br>• 40 hours per week guaranteed<br>• On call/callback responsibilities per unit needs<br>• Inspect, assemble, package and sterilize surgical instrument pans, procedural trays, and surgical case carts<br>• Operate steam sterilizers following established procedures and monitor time, pressure, and temperature gauges<br>• Check and adjust medical equipment to ensure proper operation before issuing<br>• Decontaminate surgical instruments and equipment following established procedures<br>• Receive and store supplies from vendors, check stock against requisitions, and maintain inventory par levels<br>• Perform quality assurance checks on stock levels, sterility dates, and procedure carts<br>• Complete critical documentation including biologicals and sterilizer load sheets<br>• Work with state-of-the-art decontamination, high level disinfection, and sterilization equipment<br>• Use machines including sterilizers, heat sealers, ultrasonic washers, aerators, and cart wash systems<br>• Track instruments and supplies using Getinge&#39;s T-DOC bar code system<br>• Required certifications: Certified Sterile Processor (HSPA or CBSPD) and BLS<br>• Minimum 3 years experience as SPT with large hospital experience (500+ beds)<br>• Must have 6 months travel experience<br>• Two professional references from last two assignments required<br>• Preferred qualifications include Level 1 trauma center experience, CER certification, and orthopedic tray experience</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This major academic medical center features a state-of-the-art sterile processing department that serves 35 operating room suites, ambulatory facilities, and clinics.
