CT Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY is seeking a CT Technologist for weekend overnight shifts. This is a local position ideal for candidates in the area.

Position Details

• 12-hour shifts: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST
• 2–3 on-call shifts per month required
• Holiday coverage as needed per unit requirements
• 89-week assignment starting June 22, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,702.70

Your Responsibilities

• Confirm patient identity and verify exam orders prior to scan initiation following department safety protocols
• Prepare patients for CT procedures and explain examination details to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Position patients appropriately, including safe lifting and movement of patients with limited mobility
• Insert intravenous catheters when necessary for contrast studies
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver diagnostic imaging services
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in EPIC and ensure proper image transmission to PACS
• Keep the scanning environment clean and safe

Required Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification
• New York State licensure with injection therapy certification on license at time of submission
• Formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Two years of CT experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Telemetry certification
• Six months of Siemens scanner experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment
• One year of Epic experience
• Strong communication skills and demonstrated compassionate patient care
