Job Details:

• 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday
• Variable shift times: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM
• Minimum 1 year of experience required; at least 2 years preferred
• Travel experience required
• Charting system experience required; Epic system used
• Required certifications: BLS, ARMRIT or ARRT MR, IV Certification
• ARRT (R) certification preferred
• Perform MRI procedures and examinations under the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic intervention
• Apply principles of magnetic resonance safety to minimize risk to patients, self, and others
• Correlate clinical indications and approved established protocols by applying appropriate pulse sequences and other technical factors related to data acquisition
• Demonstrate proficiency with multiple computerized systems including PACS for transmitting, archiving, and retrieving digital images
• Educate patients and address concerns or questions prior to executing studies
• Must be knowledgeable of MRI procedures performed on any body organs, systems, or structures
• Must be knowledgeable of cross-sectional anatomy and body mechanics for safely moving and positioning patients
• Responsible for assessment, treatment, or care of patients of all ages including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
• Identify risk factors, contraindications, and items that may cause damage when influenced by high magnetic fields and radio frequency energy
• Graduate from a Joint Commission-approved School of Radiologic Technology or equivalent education/experience, or graduate of an accredited MRI program required
