Sterile Processing Tech

Job Details:

• Work three 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
• Holiday rotation required
• Floating within scope required to meet facility needs
• May be required to float or be permanently switched to CSC, ART, or West Campus
• Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Experience in sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap required
• Preferred case experience includes: Neuro, GU, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Transplant, and GYN
• Required certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA
• Skills required include: aseptic technique, biological and chemical indicators, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), scope/probe reprocessing, sets/tray assembly, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers
• Equipment experience required includes: bronchoscopes, fiber optics, laparoscopic, and robotic instruments
• Specialty experience includes: cardiac, dental, ENT, general, neurology, OB/GYN, ophthalmology, orthopedics, plastics, transplant, and urology
• Serves patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period; guaranteed hours subject to this policy
• No more than 2 callouts without a physician's note; a third callout may result in removal
• No more than 3 tardies permitted
• Travel experience required
