RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Day shift position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Full-time position
• Weekend requirement: every third or fourth weekend
• On-call requirement: yes, scheduled in collaboration with other staff
• Care for patients undergoing cardiac caths, peripherals, TAVR, devices, and similar procedures
• Nurse to patient ratio: one patient to 4 staff members (2 nurses and 2 techs)
• EMR system used: EPIC
• Hospital scrubs provided
• Practice independently, providing routine and complex nursing care
• Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education
• Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Required certifications: BLS via AHA and ACLS via AHA
• Current Louisiana RN license or compact state license required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a cardiac cath lab or related nursing specialty preferred
• One year of critical care experience preferred
