Med Surg RN Job in Lenoir, NC

You'll provide direct patient care on a Medical-Surgical unit at University of North Carolina Health Care System in Lenoir, NC. This is a 3x12 night shift position for an 89-week assignment starting April 27, 2026. You'll earn $1,993.68 per week.

What you'll do:

• Deliver competent clinical nursing care that meets professional standards in a hospital setting
• Coordinate and prioritize patient care using the nursing process, organizing your work around patient and family needs
• Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs
• Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members on patient care evaluation
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning activities
• Demonstrate competence caring for patients with complex medical problems
• Support professional development and unit performance improvement initiatives
• Utilize facility standards, policies, and procedures in all care delivery

Requirements:

• Active North Carolina RN license
• Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited school (BSN or MSN preferred)
• One year of nursing experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
• Previous telemetry experience preferred
• Proficiency in English—read, write, and speak
