MRI Technologist Job in Chesapeake, VA

Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment. You will work the night shift, providing skilled MRI imaging services to patients across multiple age groups in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 hour shifts: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM
• Weekend coverage with rotation among staff members
• On-call rotation responsibilities
• Two pre-approved time off requests allowed during assignment

Role Details

• Operate 2 available MRI rooms
• Work with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
• Patient ratios: 2 during nights, 1 on weekends
• Perform adult acute care and outpatient imaging across various body systems
• Manage PACS and multiple equipment platforms
• Complete 3 hours of pre-start modules before beginning

Required Qualifications

• Allied Health Professional credential
• 2+ years of MRI experience
• BLS and ARRT certifications required
• GE equipment experience required
• Virginia or compact state license at time of submission
• Clean license and background with no prior incidents
• Must pass facility fit testing requirements (PAPR cannot be accommodated)

Compensation and Assignment Details

• Weekly pay: $2,332.80
• Assignment duration: 91 days
• Start date: June 22, 2026
• Location: Chesapeake Regional Medical Center, Chesapeake, VA
