CVICU RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You will provide direct patient care in a 12-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 16-week travel nursing assignment beginning July 20, 2026, with a minimum commitment of 13 weeks.

Shift and Pay

• 4x12-hour night shifts per week
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Weekly pay: $2,916.52
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Every other weekend required

Your Clinical Role

You will care for adult patients in high-acuity cardiovascular critical care, managing complex conditions including acute heart failure, CHF exacerbation, cardiogenic shock, post-cardiac arrest, complete heart block, arrhythmias, and pre-heart transplant patients. You will manage ventilators, arterial lines, pulmonary artery catheters, pacemakers, Impellas, balloon pumps, and LVADs. Clinical responsibilities include administering vasoactive drips, managing central lines, PA/TVP catheter monitoring, dialysis management, and foley catheter care. You will float within the service line as needed.

Requirements

• Current RN license or pending Missouri license
• BSN required
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac/CVICU ICU experience (neuro ICU experience not accepted)
• Travel nursing experience required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility

Facility Details

The unit uses EPIC charting. Navy blue scrubs are required. You may request a maximum of 2 time-off days during the contract, not to exceed 40 hours total.
