RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 hours (must be indicated on submission form)
• 13-week assignment length
• Weekend hours required every other weekend as needed by facility
• No call requirements
• Patient ratios: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights (ratios not guaranteed)
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Night shift orientation conducted on day shift - must be available entire week for orientation
• Work with 15-bed unit (15 additional beds under construction)
• Care for Med/Surg patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities
• Equipment includes Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
• Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
• Must have 1 year Med Surg inpatient experience
• Current RN License (eligible for Missouri licensure or currently licensed in Missouri)
• Required certification: BLS from AHA only
• Preferred certification: ACLS from AHA only
• Dress code: Black scrubs required, no open-toed shoes
• Flu vaccination required from November 1-April 1
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of shift, significant bending, stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance
• High risk exposure to blood and body fluids
