Respiratory Therapist Job in New Orleans, LA

You will work as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Ochsner Medical Center - New Orleans, providing respiratory care and neuro diagnostics to adult and geriatric patient populations. This is a 91-day travel position with a 4x12 day shift schedule.

Position Details

• Weekly pay: $2,556
• Schedule: 4 days per week, 12-hour day shifts
• Start date: May 11, 2026
• Every-other-weekend coverage required
• Charting via Epic system

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience in specialty (new graduates not accepted)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• CRT/RRT credential with state license
• Compact or Louisiana license must be in hand upon application
• First-time travelers accepted if experienced as respiratory therapist
• Must live more than 65 miles from facility (no local travelers)
• 2 manager/supervisor references required for clearance
• If previously employed at this facility as permanent staff, you must be separated for a full 1 year before returning as travel

Expectations

• Strict attendance policy with no call-ins allowed
• Orientation conducted 5 days per week with billable modules
• Possible assignment to Emergency Team with expectation to remain at facility during emergency events
• Epic system experience preferred
