About this role
You will support physicians and advanced practice providers in performing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in both routine and emergency settings. Your role centers on operating specialized imaging equipment and ensuring safe, efficient patient care throughout each procedure.
- Assist with procedures including injections, angiography, biopsies, tube placements, and thrombolysis
- Operate imaging equipment while maintaining sterile environments and prioritizing patient safety
- Review patient charts, verify exam orders, and validate examination reasons before procedures begin
- Interview patients about medical history, implanted devices, and contrast allergies
- Provide pre- and post-procedure care including patient education and discharge instructions
- Monitor vital signs and observe for adverse reactions throughout procedures
- Adjust, maintain, and operate imaging equipment per applicable guidelines
- Manage supplies, equipment, and medications as requested by providers
- Administer contrast under radiologist supervision when applicable
- Apply radiation protection techniques following ALARA guidelines
- Document procedures in the EMR and manage imaging data in PACS systems
- Respond to emergencies and provide Basic Life Support when needed
Requirements: You must hold R.T.(R) certification by ARRT or advanced credentials including R.T.(VI), R.T.(CV), R.T.(CI), or RCIS. Two years of experience is required, with specific experience in neuro IR cases and GI embolization cases.
Position Details: This is a 84-day travel assignment at Boone Health in Columbia, Missouri. You will work 5x8 rotating shifts starting April 27, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,445.60. You are subject to downstaffing with 36 to 48 hours notice during your 13-week contract based on your weekly schedule.
