PCU - Progressive Care Unit

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• IMCU Float Pool RN position with ASAP start required
• 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 2 weekends required per month
• Holidays required as needed
• Blocked scheduling is not guaranteed
• Float required within skillset as needed
• Patient ratio is 5:1 with a goal of 4:1; average daily census is 20-24 with 24 beds
• Must be comfortable caring for patients of all ages including pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Pediatric patients are not common but candidates must be comfortable taking a peds patient
• Scrubs must be all navy or all white
• NC license or Multistate license required
• EPIC experience and proficiency required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• Telemetry experience required
• 2 years of IMC/Tele/PCU experience required
• 2+ years of travel experience required
• Required skills include telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, blood product administration, central line care and management, peripheral line care and management, management of cardiac drips without titration, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• No candidates will be accepted if they reside less than 40 miles from the facility
