ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 3x12 hour night shifts per week for 13 weeks
• Self-scheduling with flexible cadence - could be one month, two weeks, or occasionally one week swaps, but never within a couple days or same week
• 2:1 patient ratio for days, nights, and weekends
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Past critical care experience required
• Cerner charting system experience highly preferred
• Travel experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, NIHSS
• Preferred certifications: PALS, TNCC
• 12 hours of orientation
• Float to like units as needed
• 3 weekend shifts required per contract
• One pre-approved time off period allowed
• Care for adult and geriatric patients in 20-bed ICU with daily census of 20
• Extensive critical care skills required including ventilator management, arterial line management, central line care, IV drip titration, and post-surgical care
• Must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
• Non-billable modules completed during orientation and annually (4-6 hours average)
• Local candidates within 50 miles not accepted
