Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule
• Holidays worked based on unit coverage rotation
• Level I Trauma experience required
• ICU experience required, CVICU experience preferred
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (2 attempts allowed)
• Must pass Day 1 SIMs Lab evaluation covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes (pass/fail)
• Strong IV skills required - no IV team available
• Must maintain natural hair color and no facial piercings
• Men must be clean shaven for fit test
• Patient ratios of 1:1-2 with high number of 1:1 assignments
• Float to other ICUs, telemetry units (4:1 ratio), and Westgate campus as required - travelers float before permanent staff
• Work with high acuity patients including cardiac surgery recovery, IABP, CRRT, lung transplant, thoracic, ECMO, esophagectomy, lobectomy, pneumonectomy, and TAVR
• Perform and assist with high volume of bedside procedures including bronchoscopies, Swans, and epidurals
• Chart using Cerner EMR system
• Monitor patients using Phillips telemetry system
• Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7
• 2-day floor-specific orientation provided
• Scrub color: Navy
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA); CCRN preferred
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment
