Opportunity:
RN - IR
Job Details:
• Work a 4x10 schedule Monday through Friday
• May work past 6:00 PM if performing a procedure
• Weeknight call required (Monday–Thursday from 6:00 PM–7:30 AM) occurring approximately 3 to 4 times during the 13-week contract
• Weekend call required (Friday 6:00 PM–Monday 7:30 AM) occurring approximately 1 to 2 weekends during the 13-week contract
• Expected to work every 5th or 6th Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM as needed (approximately 2 to 3 Saturdays in 13 weeks)
• May be designated once per week to stay past the end of shift to complete procedures ("Backup" expectation)
• Average daily census of 8 patients per nurse across 9 rooms
• Treat adult patients only across all IR procedures including body, vascular, and neuro-interventional
• Perform pre-procedure phone calls and provide pre and post procedure care
• Administer procedural sedation commonly using Fentanyl and Versed and monitor patients
• Titrate drips and manage central lines
• Assist with CT-guided procedures, bone biopsies, ultrasound and fluoroscopic guided procedures
• Work with both inpatient and outpatient populations
• Must work independently
• Must pass Relias EKG exam; interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• 2 years of experience required
• Critical care experience (ICU or ED background) or procedural background required; IR experience not required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, BSN
• Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, ventilator management
• Charting system: EPIC
• Equipment: Philips monitors
• Scrub color: Navy
• No visible tattoos; facial piercings must be removed or covered
