PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Recover patients after surgical and other medical procedures in a post-anesthesia care unit setting
• Variable shift start times with options at 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 10:00 AM, or 12:00 PM
• Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
• Float required within department to Phase 2 recovery as needed
• No on-call required
• No weekend shifts required per contract
• Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments including biophysical, psychosocial, and discharge planning factors
• Develop and manage individualized patient care plans in collaboration with physicians, patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Administer treatments, medications, and perform nursing skills in a timely manner
• Monitor and manage patient acuity levels and respond to medical emergencies as needed
• Utilize Epic charting system - experience required
• Minimum 3 years of experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• PALS preferred
• Valid California RN license required
