Description

<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Cath Lab</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Day shift approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (end time may vary by an hour)<br>• On-call responsibilities required<br>• Weekend coverage required with varying number of shifts per contract<br>• Patient ratio of 1:1 during day shifts<br>• Work with adult and geriatric patient populations<br>• 7-bed unit with 1 procedure room<br>• 2 years of experience in service line required<br>• Travel experience strongly preferred<br>• Texas RN License or Compact state license required<br>• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale<br>• Must live more than 150 miles away from facility or live in a metropolitan area<br>• Experience with MedHost and GE MacLab preferred<br>• Charting system experience required (Allscripts), Altera experience preferred<br>• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)<br>• Must complete facility drug screen upon arrival including marijuana testing<br>• Extensive skills required including cardiac catheterization procedures, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker insertion, IABP placement, and various interventional procedures<br>• Work with specialized equipment including MERGE HEMO, PHILIPS X-RAY, PHILIPS IVUS, and PENUMBRA systems<br>• Handle patient diagnoses including STEMI, ACS, NSTEMI, PAD, CAD, and arrhythmia management<br>• Complete non-billable orientation modules averaging 6-8 hours</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing advanced cardiovascular interventional services. The facility features state-of-the-art equipment and technology to support complex cardiac procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, electrophysiology procedures, and emergency cardiac interventions.
