MRI Technologist Job in Lees Summit, MO

BJC West – Saint Lukes East in Lees Summit, Missouri is hiring an MRI Technologist for a 91-day travel contract. You'll work 2x12 hour day shifts at $1,645 weekly.

Role Overview

As an MRI Technologist, you'll operate GE and Philips MRI equipment while maintaining Epic charting systems. You'll serve adult and geriatric patients across inpatient acute care, ICU, and outpatient settings. Your responsibilities include positioning and scanning patients, preparing and administering contrast media, establishing peripheral IVs, and ensuring radiation safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year MRI experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Current ARRT MR and ARRT R certifications
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with GE MRI and Philips MRI systems
• Epic charting experience
• Home address at least 75 miles from facility

Clinical Skills

You'll perform MRI protocols including brain, spine (cervical, lumbar, thoracic, sacrum/coccyx), abdominal imaging (abdomen, MRA, MRV, MRCP), pelvis (male and female), breast, extremity studies (shoulder, hip, knee, foot, hand), and specialized sequences such as CINE, diffusion, and perfusion imaging. Spinal trauma and vascular imaging experience is expected.

Contract Terms

• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Duration: 91 days (13-week contract)
• Shift: 2x12 hour days
• Guaranteed 3 shifts per contract; cancelled shifts match your regular assigned length
• No on-call or weekend requirements
• No block scheduling
• Float assignments may occur between departments, units, and facilities
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
