Occupational Therapist Job in Brownwood, TX

Hendrick Medical Center Brownwood is seeking an Occupational Therapist for acute care rehabilitation. You will support both inpatient and outpatient settings, working with patients across the lifespan from pediatric to geriatric populations.

Your Responsibilities:

• Treat patients with diverse diagnoses including orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, and post-surgical conditions
• Work with patients in acute care settings including ICU, ED, and post-operative environments
• Provide occupational therapy for activities of daily living (ADLs), cardiac rehabilitation, CVA rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury management
• Apply various splinting techniques: dynamic, functional, static, and serial/inhibitory splints
• Manage prosthetics for above-knee, below-knee, and upper extremity patients
• Maintain a 1:1 patient ratio with 70% productivity standards
• Participate in weekend coverage with one weekend shift per month

Requirements:

• Current BLS certification, NBCOT certification, and valid Texas occupational therapy license
• Minimum 1 year of experience; 2 years in the service line preferred
• Experience with electronic health record systems (Altera preferred, but any charting system experience accepted)
• Completion of 16 hours of orientation including 6–8 hours of non-billable modules
• Travel experience preferred but not required

What Is Not Required: You will not be required to perform biofeedback, electrical stimulation, TENS, or ultrasound procedures.

Employment Details: This is a 91-day travel assignment running 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts, beginning June 22, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,822.40. You must complete facility drug screening upon arrival (including marijuana testing) and lab requirements within 72 hours of accepting the offer.
