<p><strong>RN Position Job Notes:</strong></p> <p>Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.</p> <p><strong>Opportunity:</strong></p><p>RN - Stepdown</p><p><strong>Job Details:</strong></p><p>• Work in Cardiovascular Unit (CVU) caring for over 4,000 cardiology patients annually<br>• Provide care for patients with procedures including PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip and bi-ventricular pacemakers<br>• Care for approximately 300 open heart surgery patients (18-24 hours post-op)<br>• Specialize in care of patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies<br>• Participate in national clinical trials managed by NISUS research department<br>• Work every other weekend schedule<br>• Possible on-call responsibilities<br>• Must be willing to float to similar units<br>• 1+ year of stepdown experience required<br>• Proficiency in cardiac care required<br>• Travel experience required<br>• EKG comfortability required<br>• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS<br>• Michigan nursing license required with LARA and Nursys verification<br>• Skills checklist completed within one year of application required<br>• Strict 3 strike attendance policy - termination for 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late<br>• Use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat patient responses to health conditions</p><p><strong>Facility:</strong></p><p>This healthcare organization operates a distinguished Cardiovascular Unit that has received a Silver level Beacon Award and was redesigned by the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN).
