Job Details:

• Night shift position
• 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Travel experience required
• Patient ratio of 5:1 on nights and weekends
• 24-bed cardiac and medical telemetry unit with 25 rooms
• Cerner charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Must be willing to float within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius if needed
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (AHA certifications only accepted)
• Active PA or Compact license required
• Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tube management, continuous bladder irrigation, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drip management (no titration), pacemaker management, PCA, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram, post MI care, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery, pre/post hemodialysis management, telemetry remote monitoring, tracheostomy care, TAVR, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Possible drips include: Heparin, Bumex, Cardizem, Nitro, Amiodarone, and Dopamine
• TAVR nurse available for support twice per week
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
