Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Float @ Piedmont Augusta Hospital

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required (first-time travelers accepted)
• Patient population includes adults to geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience required (HARD STOP - no exceptions)
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Floating required to all Med Surg and Med Surg/Telemetry units within the hospital
• May float to sister campus (Piedmont Augusta Summerville) approximately 3 miles away
• Every other weekend required (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)
• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed
• RTO blackout dates during Spring Break (April 4th-12th)
• No call requirements
• Holiday work required: if 1-2 major holidays fall during assignment, must work all; if 3 major holidays fall during assignment, must work 2
• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Must handle all potential Med Surg and Med Surg/Telemetry diagnoses
• Work with Epic (required), Pyxis, and SBAR systems
• 24 orientation hours required
• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of signing contract
• Full compliance required to start on time
