Opportunity:

Electrophysiology Technologist - EP Tech Radiology Cardiology

Job Details:

• Work four 10-hour shifts per Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Float to other areas as needed
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT, RCIS, RCES
• Epic EMR experience required
• Required skills: arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, insertion and programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage procedures, pacemaker insertion, and tilt table study experience
• Preferred skills: cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, and conduction studies
• Additional skills include: 3D imaging, baseline measurements, central venous access, fluoroscopy, electrophysiology evaluation, equipment setup, sterile technique, scrub procedures, circulating procedures, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, vascular closure systems, and Watchman procedures
• Assist with diagnostic, interventional, and acute procedures while maintaining strict asepsis and ensuring patient safety
• Prepare specialty EP equipment for accurate and reliable diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Complete control room duties utilizing knowledge of physiologic monitoring, EP-specific monitoring and mapping systems, angiographic and fluoroscopic imaging, and digital analysis
• Support EP-specific functions including digital archiving of studies and supply distribution
• Provide care in the circulating role during elective and emergency procedures
• Cross-train in multiple departments and assist in invasive lab functions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team, physicians, and families using effective communication and cultural competence
• Work in a 9-room lab with 2 active EP labs performing ablations, implants, and LAA procedures
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
