ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Experience required with post cardio thoracic surgery patients fresh out of OR
• Must have knowledge of IMPELLA, Balloon Pump, Arctic Sun, and TABLO XT/CRRT equipment
• Care for high acuity patients with multiple comorbidities requiring multiple drips
• Previous experience with Epic electronic health records preferred
• Required certifications: Current BLS and ACLS (AHA only)
• Texas RN License or compact license required
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
• One year of Critical Care experience preferred but will accept new graduates
• Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
• Complete designated organizational entry competency validation and Critical Care Department-specific competency validation
• Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
