ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Every other weekend schedule required
• Acute care setting
• 20-bed ICU unit with a 2:1 patient ratio, with 1:1 ratio not uncommon for higher acuity patients
• Care for neuro patients including those who are herniating and have brain drains
• Manage orthopedic trauma patients requiring traction
• Work with cardiovascular devices including balloon pumps, Impellas, and EKOS
• Care for post-operative open-heart CABG patients
• Manage open abdomens from the OR, which are often re-opened at bedside
• Run CRRT at bedside for renal patients
• Experience in ICU or STICU in a Level 1 or Level 2 trauma center strongly preferred
• Charting system: MEDITECH
• Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
• Must reside outside of a 75-mile radius restriction
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NIHSS
