Physical Therapist Job in Alpena, MI

You'll work in an outpatient physical therapy setting at MyMichigan Health - Alpena, providing direct patient care and clinical leadership. This is a part-time role on a 4x10 days schedule with one Sunday per month, offering you predictability without on-call responsibilities.

Your responsibilities include:

• Evaluate patients' skeletal, neurological, respiratory, and cardiovascular status through formal and informal testing
• Develop goal-specific treatment regimens based on assessment data and patient tolerance
• Submit written treatment plans coordinated with physician orders
• Create frequency and duration-specific treatment schedules in coordination with clinical support staff
• Delegate clinical tasks to Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides
• Provide patient, family, and caregiver education regarding pathology, alternatives, prognosis, and treatment rationale

Required qualifications:

• Physical therapy experience required
• Pediatric experience required
• Active Michigan PT license
• BLS (AHA) certification
• Skills checklist current within one year
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within last two years

Preferred qualifications:

• Acute care experience

This 91-day assignment begins May 11, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,818.08. All scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application.
