Occupational Therapist Job in Springfield, CO

Southeast Colorado Hospital District is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team in Springfield, CO. This is a days-shift position running for 91 days, starting May 13, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,540.40.

Role Overview

You will provide screening, evaluation, treatment, and discharge planning for patients across multiple care settings, including inpatient, long-term care, Alzheimer's units, home health, and outpatient environments. You'll manage patient caseloads from initial assessment through discharge, serving as an active collaborator on the interdisciplinary treatment team.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient screenings and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Coordinate discharge planning and post-care transitions
• Communicate treatment progress and plans with physicians and rehabilitation team members
• Counsel patients and families on managing disability or impairment
• Maintain thorough and timely clinical documentation and billing records
• Ensure compliance with all State and Federal Regulations
• Adhere to established policies, quality assurance programs, and safety standards
• Follow environmental and infection control protocols
• Participate in educational programs, in-service meetings, and required staff sessions

What We're Looking For

You hold a Therapy degree with credentials as an Occupational Therapist. You demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to documentation detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across clinical settings. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
