ED Registered Nurse Job in Bridgeport, WV

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at Vandalia Health Mon Harrison Neighborhood Hospital in Bridgeport, WV. This is a 13-week travel contract position.

Schedule and Compensation

• 4x12 day shifts, 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• Weekdays and every other weekend with holiday coverage
• No call, charge, or float responsibilities
• Block scheduling available upon request
• Weekly pay: $2,419.20

The Role

• 9-bed emergency department with a daily census of 40 patients
• Patient ratio of 4:1 across all shifts
• Care for all age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Provide triage, dysrhythmia interpretation, IV starts, phlebotomy, and 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Administer blood products and procedural sedation with monitoring
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP, splint application, and central line care
• Charting via Cerner

Requirements

• Current WV RN license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; 5 years of ED experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Required certifications: BCLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB, NRP
• Small ED experience and community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Charge nurse experience preferred
