Endoscopy Technician

Opportunity:

Endoscopy Tech - GI Tech

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday days with night call responsibilities
• Travel experience required - must have completed at least 1 travel assignment
• 2 years of experience required
• High Level Disinfectant (HLD) certification highly encouraged
• Apply principles of aseptic technique for equipment preparation and maintenance during procedures
• Disassemble, identify defective parts, and perform preventive maintenance on procedure supplies and equipment
• Perform pre-cleaning requirements for all endoscopes including inspection, leak testing, cleaning, and high level disinfecting
• Follow established protocols for reprocessing endoscopes and accessories
• Determine appropriate High-Level Disinfection methods based on manufacturer instructions
• Check and calibrate equipment according to established protocols
• Perform ambulatory technician duties including obtaining vital signs and transporting patients
• Maintain sterile and High Level Disinfectant integrity throughout all procedures
