Opportunity:

RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an immediate start date
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend schedule: every Saturday and Sunday
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Guaranteed 24 hours per week
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, primarily critical care and acute care cluster
• On-call pickup is permitted but not required; 1-hour response time if picking up call
• Unit may low census in 4-hour increments; traveler may be asked to work only 4 or 8 hours of a shift
• Work in a 12-bed Cardiac ICU managing post-op hearts, AMI, cardiogenic shock, induced hypothermia, and basic CICU cases
• Patient ratios: 2:1 for CRRT, 1:1 for Impella
• Perform frequent cardioversions, line placements, and line discontinuations within the unit
• Skills with Swans, IABPs, and post-op hearts required
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks in a timely manner, and adapt well to change
• Minimum 2 years of experience with cardiac experience required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN License, BLS, and ACLS
• CCRN preferred but not required
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted
