About this role

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 98-day travel assignment. You'll work 3x12 shifts on days, earning $2,021.76 weekly. Your start date is July 13, 2026.

Role Overview

You'll provide surgical support in the cardiovascular operating room, assisting with a broad range of cardiothoracic and vascular procedures. Patient ratios are 1:1 across all shifts. You'll float within the facility and to the main OR as clinical needs dictate, supporting adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Experience & Qualifications

You must have a minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience. First-time travelers are welcome. Cardiovascular/thoracic, transplant, and robotics experience is preferred, as is community hospital and Level I/II trauma background. Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.

Key Procedure Skills

  • Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
  • Cardiothoracic robotic surgery
  • Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
  • Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) implantation
  • Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (VATS)
  • Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
  • Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR)
  • Carotid endarterectomy
  • Lung resection and thoracotomy
  • Mitral valve replacement
  • Aseptic technique, instrument processing, and sterilization/disinfection

Call & Time-Off Requirements

You will be on call 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 4 weeks, subject to departmental needs. Weekends are included in call rotation. You may request up to 7 days of pre-approved time off; all requests must be finalized at submission. Holiday expectations depend on assignment overlap: if one major holiday falls within your contract, you work it; if two or three major holidays fall within your contract, you work at least two of them. Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.

This is an excellent opportunity to expand your cardiothoracic skill set in a busy tertiary care environment.
